Account
How do I create an account?
Open the app, tap Create Account, and follow the prompts. You can also sign in with Google or Apple if you prefer.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and removes your posts, profile, and personal data within 30 days. You can also email hello@bluumme.com to request deletion.
I forgot my password.
On the login screen, tap Forgot password?. We'll send a reset link to your registered email.
How do I change my username or display name?
Profile → Edit Profile. Username changes are subject to availability; display name can be changed anytime.
Posting
Why can't I upload photos from my gallery?
By design. Bluumme is a camera-only platform — every post is captured live, in-app. This is the core promise of the product: no edits, no uploads, no retouching.
My post isn't appearing on the feed.
Check the following:
- Network: make sure you're online
- Visibility: is the post set to public, friends, or hidden?
- Moderation: posts that violate our Moderation Policy may be removed automatically
If the issue persists, email us with your username and a description of the post.
How do weekly challenges work?
Every Monday morning (CET) a new prompt drops. Capture and post within the week to enter the leaderboard. Past challenges and their winners are visible in the Explore tab.
How do rankings work?
We rank posts on three layers:
- Local — your city
- Friends — people you follow
- Global — all Bluumme users
Rankings refresh daily and are based on engagement, recency, and authenticity signals.
Privacy & Safety
Who can see my posts?
You choose: Public (everyone), Friends (people you follow back), or Hidden (only you).
How do I report a user or a post?
Tap the ⋯ menu on the post or profile, then Report. Our moderation team reviews reports against the Moderation Policy, typically within 24 hours.
How do I block someone?
Open their profile, tap ⋯ menu → Block. Blocked users cannot see your posts or message you.
How is my data handled?
Read our Privacy Policy (English) or Datenschutzerklärung (Deutsch) for the full breakdown. Short version: we collect only what we need, we never sell data, and you can export or delete it anytime.
I'm in the EU — what are my rights?
You have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your data under GDPR. See the Privacy Policy for details, or email hello@bluumme.com to exercise any of these rights.
Technical Issues
The app keeps crashing.
- Restart the app
- Update to the latest version from the App Store
- Restart your device
- If the issue continues, email hello@bluumme.com with your device model, OS version, and a brief description
I can't sign in.
- Check your internet connection
- Make sure you're using the correct email
- Use Forgot password? to reset
- If you signed up with Google or Apple, use the same method to log in
Notifications aren't working.
Settings → Notifications → Bluumme — make sure notifications are enabled at the OS level. In-app, check Profile → Settings → Notifications.
Billing
Bluumme is currently free to use. We do not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions at this time.
